Mario Golf: Super Rush retains #1 for second week
The popular and critically lauded Switch adventureZelda: Breath of the Wildis back in the UK Charts premier league this week, having pushed back into the Top Ten some four years after its initial release. This surprise comeback by Zelda and chums is the only major highlight of what was otherwise a fairly standard week in the UK charts’ physical sales scene.
Nintendo continues to maintain its hold on the Top Ten. Recent releaseMario Golf: Super Rushenjoyed a second week in the number one spot, despite middling reviews, while the rest of the Top Ten is mostly filled out with additional Switch titles, includingMario Kart 8 Deluxe,Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Minecraft, andSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.

Outside of Nintendo’s dominance, Capcom’s survival horror sequelResident Evil Villageand Take-Two Interactive’s ever-selling crime simGrand Theft Auto Vboth returned to the Top Ten at numbers nine and eight respectively. Insomniac Games’ excellent fantasy adventureRatchet & Clank: Rift Apartdropped a few places, but is still sitting pretty at number six. Bandai Namco’s brainpunk adventureScarlet Nexushas dropped out of the Top Ten and sits at number 27, an inevitable slump for a solid title always expected to frontload its physical sales.
[A reminder that Destructoid will be winding down its coverage of the UK Chart scene this month]
