Xbox 360 owners will be treated to an involuntary system update on their consoles today, asMajor Nelsonhas confirmed that it’s to create compatibility with the incoming wireless guitar controller that will release withGuitar Hero III. Nelson promises that that’s all the update will do — however, judging by the comments to his blog, the conspiracy theorists are out in full force and the usual accusations of “you’re sneaking in security updates youfiends,” are flying around.
Of course, I don’t see what the big problem is, but some people sure do take umbrage with updating their machines. With that in mind, do be careful when you update, because I heard secret security updates are forged from Satan’s very pubis.
