Wuthering Waves, the third-person, free-to-play action-adventure game from Kuro Games, has just released update 1.2, offering players more fun content and yet another free 5-star character.

The update includes two new characters with the first being Zhezhi, a shy and artistic 5-Star Glacio character that is capable of tremendous damage output with the right build. On top of that, we have Xiangli Yao, a research scientist who has some of the most ridiculous Electro damage in the game to date. Getting Xiangli Yao for free is tied to a fun event called “By Moon’s Grace,” which I have already had the opportunity to play and found thoroughly enjoyable.

The 1.2 update will also bring us the “Do Echoids Dream of Electric Sleep” event in September, and I’ll award points to anything referencing Philip K. Dick, if I am honest. Players who wish to learn more about the characters and world ofWuthering Wavescan dive into Zhezhi’s Companion Story, along with new Exploration Quests.

For PC players, there is great news: the promised 120 FPS mode has finally arrived, and you may switch to it in your gameplay menu. This is something I have been looking forward to since launch.Wuthering Wavesreally does do combat very well, and lightning-fast reactions and character switches make the fights incredibly fun. Playing it all at 120 FPS will be a wonderful experience.

The update also cleans up a couple of issues, like adding a small robot that we can use during shooting challenges so you don’t need to constantly swap out to a character that uses guns, which is a very welcome change. you’re able to now also make some adjustments to how your lock-on behaves if you hit up the Settings and Controls menu, which will be a welcome change for folks who are struggling with default behavior.

All in all, this is a solid update that will tide us over nicely until the next major content drop.
