Okay, you got me — what the heck is this?

Oh, that Bethesda. I say I’m going to do my best to avoid covering teasers and then, right after leading up toThe Evil Within‘s announcement with a bunch ofVine posts, the company has organized some sort of promotional campaign with GameSpot. One I’m unable to resist.

It all startedwith a tweet, as these things tend to. The publication has full-size versions of the three spliced-together images, viewablehere, here, andhere. 1960, eh? For the record, Bethesda’s Pete Hines has graciously steered us away from the notion that this is a Bethesda Game Studios project; theFallout 3andElder Scrollsdeveloper is not involved.

The imagery here doesn’t appear remotely identifiable to me, but I figure if I keep guessing that Bethesda’s teasers are forWolfenstein, eventually, I’m bound to be correct.
