For the money-hungry players
The most stressful part ofCall of Duty Warzone 2.0is the fact that you only have one life to live. Well, sort of, if you exclude the Gulag and redeployments. For those who wish to explore and fight without the intensity of battle royale modes, Plunder has always been a fan-favorite. But will there ever be aWarzone 2.0Plunder mode?
What is Plunder mode?
At this time, there is no Plunder mode available inWarzone 2.0nor has there even been. The popular playlist from the originalWarzonehas yet to make an appearance in the battle royale sequel. Instead, players only have access to the normal battle royale modes and thenew DMZ playlist.
That said, if Plunder ever does come toWarzone 2.0, it will bring with it a much more chill Al Mazrah experience. The idea of Plunder is that teams drop with the goal of making the most money possible. The first team to accumulate a certain amount of cash wins the match.

Teams are able to make this money through various methods, including eliminating and looting other players, completing contracts, and finding cash in caches. Lives are unlimited in the Plunder game mode, letting you take your time and enjoy the scenery of Al Mazrah without the pressure of the storm constantly closing in.
Could Plunder mode return toWarzone 2.0?
For many players, the prospect of Plunder arriving inWarzone 2.0is exciting. Unfortunately, the sad answer is that Activision hasn’t confirmed its return yet. As of now, there is no word on Plunder coming toWarzone 2.0.
In fact, news onWarzone 2.0Season 2 doesn’t include any word on Plunder. We know that there is a new game mode coming to the battle royale experience, but that’s Resurgence, not Plunder. Furthermore, there are no official hints of the popular game mode, either.

On the bright side, there is at least one possible hint towards the arrival ofWarzone 2.0Plunder at some point.WarzoneYouTubertiktokalnukenoted in a video that there is data in the map for a cash deposit helicopter.
This sounds a lot like the same cash helicopter that players would call in the original Plunder mode to deposit their cash towards their total money. This existing in the backend ofWarzone 2.0could indicate that the mode is in development for a future release.

Even still, though, plans change all the time so there is still a chance that Plunder might not fully release, if there are major issues with it. At least withResurgence coming in Season 2, this leaves some hope for Plunder to make the leap fromWarzoneto its sequel. But that may not happen until Season 3 or even later.
