In 2000, the life-simulation genre was forever changed withThe Sims’monumental release. Fast forward to 25 years later, fans are still hooked on the series, unleashing countless mods and epic player-made households.
In celebration of this anniversary, Maxis Studios is hosting a livestream event filled with notableSimsplayers and rewards. Here’s what you need to know about theSims25 Hour Livestream event.
The Sims 25 Hour Livestream event release date and time
The Sims 25 Hour Livestream beginson Jul 27, 2025, at 2 p.m. PT/4 p.m. CT/5 p.m. ET. It’ll be available onYouTubeandTwitch, and a few surprise guests will come along for the ride. The stream will celebrate all thingsSims, touching up on iconic builds, stories, and possibly more information about theSims 42025 roadmap.
A substantial free base game update will roll out during the 25 Hour Livestream event. Look forward to over 70 new in-game items, such as two additional hairstyles, goatee facial hair, and clothing expansions in Create a Sim. This also includes Build Mode objects that will provide unique kitchen designs, children’s toys, and more.
Two events will be available to play inThe Sims 4andThe Sims Freeplay. Experience the nostalgia of the 2000s by unlocking items throughoutThe Sims’history.

If you’ve kept up with theSims‘ many content creators, you’ll undoubtedly recognize one or more of these guests. We can also look forward to some surprise reveals to shake things up. In light of LilSimsie’srecent kit collaboration, she may be one of them, but we’ll just have to see what happens.
All rewards in The Sims 4 Blast From The Past event
Like pastSims 4events, you can earn weekly prizes in-game to commemorate the 25th anniversary. It will seemingly begin around the same time as the 25 Hour Livestream, where you can earn these rewards:
All items were previously seen in pastSimsiterations, like the classic Alarm Clock from the original and the Milk Carton from various installments. Other rewards will be a part of the event, but we’ll need to wait for more concrete information.
If Blast from the Past plays out similarly to other events, you must complete specific objectives to claim these gifts. Plus, it may require you to find Milk Cartons, which will presumably spawn around theSims 4’sworlds. Again, it’s not entirely clear what we will need to do for this event yet, but I’ll jump in when the time comes for more details.
