SoTom Clancy’s The Divisionis doing really well for itself.
According to a press release from Ubisoft, the game has had the most launch-day sales for any Ubisoft gameever, breaking the record set byWatch Dogstwo years ago. It also managed to set that same record across all digital platforms too. Concrete numbers haven’t been released, but even thenwowthat’s a lot of sales.
The Divisionalso joinsDestiny,Watch Dogs, andAssassin’s Creedas one of the most successful new IP launches in history. I’m not sure ifThe Divisionshould count as a new IP if they’re shoving it under theTom Clancyumbrella, but I’m not the guy who makes the rules.
