Launch is just three weeks away

Around two years ago at the Develop conference in Brighton, I played a short demo for an indie game calledThat Dragon, Cancer. Sat by myself with a set of headphones on, I slowly explored the hospital room of a father and his young son. His young son was dying, and the father felt powerless.

The demo, while short, was incredibly powerful and put the game on my most anticipated upcoming releases calendar. Development has seemingly been tough, as one of the developers is the father the game is about and his son passed away during development, but we’re finally several years later approaching launch for the game.

That Dragon, Canceris going to be releasing July 20, 2025 on Steam, Humble, and Ouya for $14.99.

I have no idea how this game is going to turn out, but what I experienced a few years ago was incredibly moving. I’m eagerly awaiting being able to get my hands on it, before setting aside an afternoon to cry at my computer screen.
