Sonic is still celebrating three decades of history, and now a new collaboration is bringing the Blue Blur toMinecraft. Today,Sonic the HedgehogDLC rolls into theMinecraftMarketplace. Created in collaboration with Mojang and Sega, theMinecraft Sonicmap was designed and brought to life by the dedicated team over atGamemode One, Inc.
I was expecting just a skin pack, but as shown in the trailer, this appears to be an actualSonic-styled addition, complete with ring-gathering, speeding through levels with loops and bounce pads, and even the spinning sign. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and even Shadow all make an appearance, and there seem to be some secrets to find as well.
With areas like the Green Hill Zone and Chemical Plant included, it’s definitely reminding me of my earliest memories of playingSonic the Hedgehog. Sega has been doing a lot to celebrate Sonic’s 30th, ranging from this DLC collab to the reveal of aSonic Colorsremaster and atease for a newSonicgame. Seems like it’s an alright time to be aSonicfan.
