Silent Hilland Halloween go together like James Sunderland and existential guilt. With Konami’s iconic horror series returning, many will be wondering when we’ll get to experience this new era. As it turns out, perhaps to the surprise of no one,Silent Hill: Ascensionmay be heading to our screens for the spooky season.

That’s according to a listing onGoogle Play, which says the interactive mini-series will be premiering on October 31. So, Halloween exactly, it seems.

It should be made clear that, as of writing, the producers and developers ofAscensionhave not actually confirmed whether this is the date the experience will launch. However, Google Play also doesn’t say that this is a placeholder date, so this could be the real deal.

LikeBandersnatch, but not

For those who aren’t aware,Silent Hill: Ascensionis an interactive live-action series in which viewers decide on the outcome. It’s being developed by J. J. Abram’s Bad Robots Production company, along withDead by Daylightstudio Behavior Interactive and Genvid Entertainment.

The listing on describes it as a thrilling new “streaming service” that “follows multiple main characters from locations around the world tormented by new and terrifying SILENT HILL monsters.”

We were treated to apretty creepy trailera few months back.Ascensionis essentially a spin-off and, from what we understand so far, could deviate slightly from what we know and love aboutSilent Hill. However, we’ll know more as and when the interactive experience airs.

We’re also still waiting to hear more about Bloober Team’sremake ofSilent Hill 2. There will be many who are looking forward to this modern take on one of the most influential horror games of all time. Equally, there will be those who are skeptical about whether it can do the original justice.
