With ‘certain criteria to fulfill’
In addition to the possible hundreds of collectibles and hidden secrets strewn aboutThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, series producer Eiji Aonuma confirms that there is indeed a secret ending.
Speaking to IGN Portugal, Aonuma states, “Yes there is an alternate ending, there is a certain criteria you have to fulfill to see it. Essentially, you do some specific things and you’ll see a different ending.” Once we see it on paper in a guide or walkthrough video somewhere it’ll be so simple, but for now, everyone is on a level playing field.
Big secrets inZeldagames have ranged from hidden dungeons, to “a different title credit scroll” (Link to the Past), so what this ending actually entails, and if it’ll be worth it (or involve a Master Quest second playthrough) is anyone’s guess.
