Despitemixed reviewsand an angry outcry from fans, Capcom has today announced thatResident Evil: Operation Raccoon Cityjust sold over two million copies worldwide. The game was sitting at around 1.7 million sales when Capcomhad its financial callearlier this week.
Of course, time will tell how many of those people genuinely enjoyed the game, and how many regret impulse buying a product just becauseResident Evilwas on the cover. As one of the folkswho actually enjoyed it, I’m not disappointed at its success. Something tells me that won’t be the prevailing attitude.
