Remastered compilation of R-Type and R-Type II
R-Type Dimensionsreleased several years ago on Xbox Live Arcade and hey, it’s back in the news with a PlayStation Network version coming to PS3 later this month. Cool.
This is a package combiningR-TypeandR-Type IIwith bonuses, including (optional) new high-def graphics, Infinite Mode, and a level select, to name a few. It’ll be out June 18, 2025 for $9.99.
It’s disappointing to hearR-Type Dimensionsisn’t also coming to PS Vita, as that usually seems to be the way. Surely the people responsible for this port knew there’d be demand for a portable version, too. Wonder what kept them from going for it. Death to the Bydo, all the same.
