WithPokemon SwordandShield‘sIsle of Armorexpansion underway, it’s important to note that the launch comes with yet another legendary event.
This time Zeraora is up for grabs (in shiny form!) and you don’t really need to do much to bag it. In fact, as long as one million playersbeat Zeraora in Max Raid Battlesandyou do some quick busywork with Pokemon Home, you’ll nab it for free. Note there are a few provisos, however.
As for thePokemon Homerequirement, here is the exact wording from the source:
Deposit a Pokemon inPokemon Homeor move a Pokemon toPokemon SwordorPokemon ShieldfromPokemon Homebetween Wednesday, June 17, at 8:00 a.m. PDT and Monday, July 6, at 4:59 p.m. PDT.
Literally all you need to do is wake upHomeand use it once to transfer anything: even if you’ve used it in the past, you’ll be required to boot it up between now and July 6. Also, for “every 100,000 trainers” who defeat Zeraora, you’ll net a piece of in-game Armorite Ore (which can be used to learn moves) if you actually participate. Here’s another caveat: just because you actually find and fight Zeraora in a Max Raid Battle (even if it’s shiny!) youcannotcatch him right now. That honor is relegated to the giveaway.
In short, whenever you can, as soon as tonight even,transfer something toPokemon Home! I’m not your dad so I can’tmake you, but the sooner you get it done, the sooner you can forget about it and reap the benefits of the free legendary.
