Techland has revealed it is working on a new game currently titledProject Hell. Based on aDead Islandmod, this spin-off title will give us first-person brutalizing in a medieval setting.
The game has been spun off from a weapon mod created by one of Techland’s own developers, bringing two-handed swords and ice magic to the world of tropical zombies. It was deemed too much fun to leave as a mod, so now a small team is crafting an official title.
“Our main goal is to make a game we can all enjoy playing so don’t expect unicorns and fairies — we prefer breaking through hordes of undead minions only to slaughter their devilish and loathsome masters in a bloody boss-fight,” writesthe official dev blog. “To achieve that we’ll use our experience already gained in game development and enhanced technology fromDead Island.”
