Just in time for some fist-throwing betas
Sony Interactive Entertainmenthas announcedthat it will be holding a free trial weekend for its PlayStation Plus service this coming weekend. Players can enjoy some of the benefits of the PS4/PS5 paid subscription service free of charge between Saturday, December 18 and Monday, December 20. There are, however, some caveats.
The free trial appears to mostly pertain to playing multiplayer titles, so players will not be able to download any of the PlayStation Plus “free” games nor the PS5 PlayStation Plus Collection. This trial period seems purely an opportunity to engage in some online multiplayer, be it inStreet Fighter V, Grand Theft Auto Online, Fortnite, orDestiny 2.This weekend sees open betas for bothThe King of Fighters XVand underdogDNF Duel, so this trial has pretty good timing.
