A fresh Zelda remix EP straight out of GameChops While some of us were attending PAX and getting all the ladies, others were back home, hard at work in the studio. My buddy Dj CUTMAN produced a brand newZeldaEP through his net label GameChops, and it’s ready for mass consumption. MeowMeow & BowWowis a seven-track album that directly sources the music ofLink’s Awakening. A collaboration between CUTMAN and Spamtrom, it is a follow-up to the duo’sZelda II-themedBagu and the Rivermanfrom 2011....

It’s him, Charles… Charles Martinet, the English voice of Nintendo’s world renown hero Mario, will be in attendance at the GAME store in the Westfield centre, Stratford, London for the midnight launch of new titleSuper Mario Odyssey. Martinet will be expected to attend the meet and greet session on Thursday October 26 from 10:30pm until 00:30am, to celebrate the launch of the highly anticipated Switch title. Those hoping to meet the man himself would be advised to get to the store early....

Also this hilarious accent I feel like a lot of first-person shooters fail to appreciate the closeness proferred by the shooty game point-of-view of choice, so it’s neat to seeHomefront: The Revolutionembracing it with this modular weapon system. It reminds me a bit ofMetro 2033, with its constant analog immediacy. What could have been a d-pad-relegated “ammo type” button or some such actually becomes fully modeled weapons that come apart, which is a neat touch....

This trailer has me feeling much better aboutNew Super Mario Bros. U. Not that I was feelinggreatabout it before. There are things to be excited about, like the new modes (Boost Rush and Challenge), Flying Squirrel Mario, and, of course, baby Yoshi. I’ll play it and have fun, even if it’s not a revolution. I was under the impression that placing blocks into the world by way of the Wii U GamePad wasn’t necessarily mandatory....
