Given that the Microsoft-ownedMinecraftis coming to Nintendo’s newest consoleand Spencer recentlymused on the idea of bringingGoldenEyeback, a lot of fans have taken to Twitter to quiz the publisher on future possibilities. So much so that Microsoft has issued a statement, saying that “we have no information of any games coming to the Wii U other thanMinecraft.”...

‘See you in the next life’ EVE Valkyriehas come a long way since thefootage from last year’s EVE Fanfest. The trailer above shows a more fleshed out mission, beginning with a mundane escort and ending with, well, something a little more exciting. Super Famicom shirts When I woke up this morning to an email from my friend that simply said “newMy Nintendorewards!” I almost flipped out. “What could Nintendo possibly have added? I guess I can wait a week for it to release I already liked Chucklefish. The indie developer best known for makingStarboundhas gone on to act as a publisher for smaller teams with great ideas. The studio has helped to release Hopoo Games’Risk of Rain, and is publishing the upcoming metroidvania darlingHeart Forth, Alicia. With this announcement, Chucklefish has solidified itself in my mind as one of the best publishers out there as far as having an eye for talent....

Looking for an RPG you probably haven’t played before? Maybe check outTengai Makyou: Zirai, a 1989 PC-Engine CD-ROM² game that just got a fan translation. The TurboGrafx 16 was an impressive flop in North America. A console failing is interesting enough, but the fact that it was the localized production of a very popular Japanese console makes it even better. The PC-Engine was huge in Japan. It took a sizeable chunk of Nintendo’s market dominance and outdid the Sega Mega Drive (Genesis in North America) overall....

Indie Game The French Movie This is confusing, but cool.Pixel Heartis going to be a documentary that visits a bunch of talented, global folks in videogames — Tetsuya Mizuguchi (Rez), Robin Hunicke (Sims,Journey), Edmundo Bordeu (Zeno Clash), Mark Healey (Little Big Planet), and Eyram Tawia (Letiarts) — and then trots back to France for a big game jam. The game jam will produce 12 games, 6 of which will be available to play online, 6 of which will use some sort of dedicated hardware....

It’s been a long time coming, but Retro-Bit has announced that their Sega Saturn Pro Controllers are finally up for pre-order. These were teased quite a while back and then shown off at the Portland Retro Game Expo last year, but they’re ready to go now. Almost. This is the latest in Retro-Bit’s collaboration with Sega. They’ve previously released reproductions of Sega Genesis/Mega Drive controllers, as well as wired and wireless variants of the Sega Saturn controllers themselves....
