The promise of being an undercover cop who kicks ass in an open-world Hong Kong already had me on board forSleeping Dogsbefore it got picked up by Square Enix and shed theTrue Crimename. My excitement for the game has only gone up from there. While this new trailer has a few rough edges, the story — which is the focus of this video, anyway — seems like it could be enjoyable....
Coming out of the blue,Starfield‘s latest content updatehas already proved that it’s positively loaded with some much-needed improvements and changes, even pre-release. Its biggest draw, specifically, are the various difficulty tweaks that allow players to fine-tune the game’s challenge curve however they see fit, and it’s a hoot. Sure, it’s not a drivable rover (which is coming in later on!), nor is it a full-fledged Survival Mode like the one we had inFallout 4, butStarfield‘s new difficulty options show immense promise all on their own....
The gang hits the slopes Ubisoft is about to roll out a multi-part beta forSteep, its open-ended snowboarding (and skiing, and wingsuit flying) game, and I’m genuinely curious to dig in aftersampling it back at PAX. The dates to remember are coming up soon: November 18 – 21 for the open beta, and November 10 – 14 for the early-access period, which you can get in on byregistering here. In both cases,Steepwill be playable on PC, PS4, and Xbox One....
Not Perfect Some luckyStreet Fighterfans got a sneaky treat this week, as the recentStreet Fighter 6 Closed Betamiraculouslysprang back to life for several hours, before quietly shutting down once again. The beta, which took place on PC and current-gen consoles, officially ended on Monday, October 10. Earlier this week, however, PS5 players who still had the client installed found that could suddenly re-access a rudimentary version of the trial. Matchmaking wasn’t working with any great stability, but the Training Mode was up and running, giving some sneaky petes several more hours to get the tech down with Messrs Ryu, Ken, Guile, Kimberly, Juri, Jamie, Chunners, and Luke....

E3 is over. It was such an exhausting show but we all loved every second of it. We saw so many games and gave you written and video previews on everything we were able to get our hands on. There’s so much content still on the way, but here’s everything we’ve done so far. It’s a lot, you guys. To cap it all off, Jonathan Holmes ran around the entire show floor at E3 and condensed it into five minutes....

A new project has been making the rounds onReddit, and it’s one of the coolest builds I’ve seen in a long time: a giant working Xbox Series X. Backward compatibility is a drum I won’t ever stop beating I figured for sure this would be a shorter console generation overall. Some might argue that the ninth generation of hardware has begun already, with the Switch releasing earlier last year. However, with the new trend of half-step consoles such as the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X already out — for Sony and Microsoft anyway — the eighth hardware generation could still be kicking around for a little longer....
