[Update: the Steam listing page islive right now.] Joylancerhas been on my radar for quite a while now. It’s an independent production that seeks to recreate the great feeling of the Game Boy era, with a solid platforming and combat engine to boot. Although pre-orders have been live on the game’s site for a while, there hasn’t been any word on a full release — until now. The developer has just sent us word that it will be hitting Early Access on October 26th on Steam....

I really need you guys to do me a favor. The next time someone tells you that they like a Japanese-style role-playing game because of its “story,” I want you to kick them in the teeth. At the time of writing, ambitious stealth-survival gameRepubliquehas a little over thirty hours to go beforeits Kickstarter driveterminates. Despite excited coverage and some very ardent supporters, Camoflaj is still short of its goal, with$361,553 of its required $500,000. There’s still everything to play for, with pledges trickling in even at this late stage. IfRepubliquepulls this off, it’ll be quite an astounding story. If it doesn’t, then it’ll be a most bitter disappointment....

Gawrsh. Square Enix has announced that theirKingdom Hearts: VR Experiencehas been furthered delayed until January 23, just a couple of days away from the launch ofKingdom Hearts IIIitself. TheVR Experience, which allows PS4 owners equipped with a PSVR kit to experience scenes, gameplay and music videos from the RPG series in 3D,was originally supposed to launch on Christmas Day 2018, but was pushed back until today, January 18. For reasons not discussed, the journey isn’t quite ready just yet....

If it’s your first time through, it’ll be different than it was in 2012 Mass Effect: Legendary Editionwas fully fleshed out yesterday, and so far, the changes look pretty good. I’m pumped The last time I wrote aboutMinecrafton the Oculus Rift, I was taken aback by the fact that it hadn’t actually come out yet — any prior releases were just community mods, with a Gear VR release dangling on the side. But Microsoft has announced that the Windows 10 Edition of the game will be updated today, and will automatically warp in Oculus Rift support. In essence, if you own the Windows 10 Edition (which is still behind the proper PC Java version) in any capacity, you can hook up your Rift and play....

In news that should surprise very few people, THQ has found a way to verify that an online pass is required forSaints Row: The Third, even with competitive multiplayer being scrapped. The online co-op for both campaign and Whored Mode will be locked behind a virtual gate, with an included pass required for access. People have spoken out recently to confirm that their review copies included the code. As did mine....

During ExileCon, Grinding Gear Games revealed that asPath of Exile 2grew since its announcement in 2019, they realized it was no longer just an expansion toPath of Exileas originally planned. With over 100 developers working onPath of Exile 2,it has become a much bigger project than originally anticipated. Moving forward,Path of Exile 2will now be its own standalone title. Each game will still be supported and have its own unique mechanics, leagues, and features....
