Fan recreates Symphony of the Night in LittleBigPlanet 3

Now I’m remembering all those horrible Mario recreations in the first game We’re just two weeks away fromLittleBigPlanet 3‘s November 18 release, but it doesn’t feel that way. I think it’s become its ownthing, propped up by a community that has created millions of levels, all of which are grandfathered in, playable in the new game. Those folks have been playing the beta for two weeks, too, and this video is a highlight of some of their creations....

Final Fantasy has a pizza promotion for you folks down under

Hot take: Pineapple on a pizza is fine, not the best, but certainly not the worst Popular pizza chain Dominos and Square Enix have teamed up to create their very ownFinal Fantasy XIVthemed pizza dubbed the “Chocobo Chow” pizza. Toppings include: Chicken, pineapple, capsicum, mushrooms, onions, and spring onions. I love how a pizza with chicken on it ends up being Chocobo themed. The potential implications of that are pretty amusing....

I guess the investment in pinball, fishing, fighting cameos, and everything else paid off Almost a year afterFinal Fantasy XVarrived on shelves, I spent several hours tracking down andcataloging all of its spinoffs and DLC. It was a pretty insane endeavor — I mean, we’re still not even close to done with its story DLC yet and I’m not done constantly adding to this list. Freaking Meatbags is tower defense with a unique style

All hail our new robot shift managers “Meatbags.” There are few more apt terms to represent the views of a theoretical intelligent robot than the wordStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republic‘s HK-47 used to refer to people. Considering its timelessness it’s actually a surprise that it took this long for it to appear in the title of a completely unrelated game, but here we are now, with WildFactor’sFreaking Meatbags, which recently enteredSteam Early Access....

Games time forgot: Mendel Palace

Game Freak is a developer that is most widely known for making the gigantic contribution ofPokémonto gaming, but they had very humble beginnings in a little game calledMendel Palace. This quirky NES puzzle game is not extraordinarily well known, but the few people who have crossed paths with the title seem to walk away from it happy. Admittedly, I met withMendel Palaceentirely by chance myself. It was a game that was chosen at random as a rental one weekend, and I had no idea what it was that I had gotten myself into as the game did not come with a manual and I had never encountered anything like it before....

Released in 1995 for the Sega Genesis, (the SNES version was canceled),Gargoyleswas part of Disney’s major push into 16-bit gaming, which would see it adapt franchises such asAladdin, The Lion King, The Jungle Book, and evenPinocchio(which nobody remembers) for home consoles....

Hardline 016: Mario Golf, Watch Dogs, and Game Boy’s 25th birthday

A laid-back discussion of this week in gaming This week, Hardline went into dangerous territory with a five-person show. It wasn’t a disaster, but it sure could’ve been! (Well, itwas, but for different reasons. Kidding. A little.) Hamza Aziz, Steven Hansen, Dale North, and Brett Makedonski joined me to cover big stories of the past few days, like the PS Vita upping its PSP/PS1 game compatibility (temporarily, it turns out), what’s new withWatch Dogs, and the Game Boy turning 25....
