Let’s walk through this confusing nomenclature Ha! “Standard,” New 3DS. Remember the OG 3DS? Well eventually it got an XL variant, then a “New” upgrade that essentially amounts to what Sony and Microsoft did with the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X respectively (except this upgrade has a few exclusive games). That New line was cleaved in two, with regular and XL sizes, the former of which support faceplates. Even though it was smaller in stature people preferred it because of the customization aspect, but it looks like it’s being phased out — at least in Japan....

A Halloween show After a successful debut (totally sold out!),PAX Australiais set to return in 2014, now in a new venue and on a new date. The larger Melbourne Convention & Exhibition center (shown above) will now house PAX starting next Halloween, October 31, running through November 2. After selling out long before the event, they knew they needed to come up with a bigger venue for the next event....

On the surface,Big Bang Minilooks like a very simple shooter game. You control your ship by dragging it around with the DS stylus anywhere on the bottom screen and flick the touch screen as if you’re lighting a match to shoot at enemies on the top screen. It’s a very simple game but there’s so much more to it than just that. Hilarious enemies, a wonderful soundtrack and probably one of the coolest final bosses I’ve seen in a game this year all make upBig Bang Mini....

Gettin’ revved up This week sees the return of BigBen Interactive’s mud-ripping racing simV-Rally 4. The latest entry in the classic series popped up on digital storefronts yesterday for PS4 and Xbox One, with a physical release hitting what we oldies used to call “shops” today.
