EA recently released a “Survive It” trailer for its upcomingSSXgame. The new video ends with the news that the title’s launch has been pushed back slightly — it was originally set to release in January 2012, but will now launch on July 03, 2025. It’s going to be a Valentine’s Day for lovers… of reboots, that is: Sony’s newTwisted Metaltitle is alsocoming out that day. The “Survive It” trailer above focuses on the game’s nine “Deadly Descents,” and they look pretty gnarly....

It’s quite possible that we could see the release ofStar Wars: The Old Republicasearlyas Spring 2011. During a recent EA fiscal conference call, EA CEO Jon Riccitiello said that an unspecified “major” EA MMO is “making great progress towards a Spring 2011 launch.” We’re assuming Riccitiello is talking about BioWare’sStar Wars: The Old Republicinstead of an unannounced MMO worthy of “major” status. The publisher’s other notable upcoming MMO is the Realtime Worlds’sAll Points Bulletin, which is still slated to hit during March of this year....

Pikachu vs. the world The newPokémon Generationsshorts are, well, exactly that, but they’re a nostalgic delight. Particularly this first episode, “The Adventure,” which has a cool transition from theRedandBlueopening on Game Boy into a battle into the animation proper.I had to rewind and watch that part a few times. What follows is a sequence of standalone scenes inspired by the games. Again, if you’ve experienced these moments for yourself, seeing them reinterpreted in an animation like this is pretty darn cool....
