Here’s some broken records to let you know how well Nintendo did on this past Black Friday:
I get the 3DS, as it’s a hot Christmas item, andSkyward SwordandSuper Mario 3D Landare both great games that should be under every tree, but it’s really surprising to hear that the Wii broke Nintendo’s one-day record this year. More than 500,000 in one day? Maybe it’s that new price point. Or the blue color. Or something I missed.
As for the 3DS, it’s already beating out the first-year Nintendo DS sales numbers, and in only 8 months. The holiday isn’t even over, andMario Kart 7is still coming this season.
