The latest episode ofDid You Know Gaming?arrives just in time to celebrate today’s release ofPikmin 3. Narrated by JonTron (Jon’s back! Yay!), thisPikmin-themed special runs through some of the more familiar nuggets ofPikminlore, such as how it was based upon theSuper Mario 128Spaceworld demo.
One bit of trivia that I was totally unaware of was that Nintendo bred a new flower called “Bacoba Cabana” that resembled the flower on the yellow Pikmin’s head and sold it to the public five months after the launch of the originalPikmin. When you are literally creating life just to promote a videogame, you’ve officially entered the realm megalomania. Stop playing God, Nintendo!
