Square Enix has announced a new event – set to take place later this month – which will see upcoming remakeNieR: Replicantcrossover with the phenomenally popular mobile titleNieR: Reincarnation.
As reported by GameWith, (with translation fromSiliconera), the event will seeNieR Replicantprotagonists Nier, Kainé, and Emil venture into the bleak-yet-serene world of “The Cage,” where they will no doubt encounterNieR Reincarnation‘s own protagonist “White Girl,” accompanied by her ghostly sidekick, Mama. The event, which is being held to celebrate the upcoming launch ofNieR Replicant, will offerNieR Reincarnationplayers the opportunity to bag exclusive themed items and login bonuses.
NieR Reincarnationhas taken Japan by storm, having been downloadedover 10 million timessince its launch a mere month ago. The free-to-play gacha title is currently in the process of being localized for a western release, and is expected to hit these shores at some point later this year. In the meantime,NieR Replicantwill launch on PS4, PC, and Xbox One April 23.
