The grand epic of taking down evil inMy Hero Academiais soon drawing to a close as its final season gets an update.My Hero AcademiaFINAL SEASONwill premiere in October this year, though the specific release date is yet to be confirmed.
Toho Co. made the announcement during the AnimeJapan 2025 in Tokyo. In addition, it also revealed a new teaser trailer showcasing Deku and Shigaraki’s rivalry and a new key visual.
The studio BONES FILM continues to produce the anime. Naomi Nakayama, who directed the anime’s seventh season, returns to direct its eighth and final season. Yosuke Kuroda will once again be writing the series composition. Other returning staff members include Kenji Nagasaki (chief director), Yoshihiko Umakoshi (character design), Hitomi Odashima (character design), and Yuki Hayashi (music).
Crunchyroll also confirmsto simultaneously release new episodes as they air in Japan. All ofMy Hero Academia‘s previous seasons can also be streamed on the platform.
About My Hero Academia
The animeMy Hero Academiais an adaptation of Kohei Horikoshi’s manga of the same name. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014 andpublished its final chapter in August 2024. In 2015, the anime aired its pilot episode for its first season.
Since its conception, the series has won numerous accolades both for its manga and anime media. Furthermore, it received numerous spin-off series, includingMy Hero Academia: Vigilantes, whichwill air in the Spring 2025anime season.
