‘No information’
It appears as ifMinecraft Wii Uand Phil Spencer have opened the floodgates.
Given that the Microsoft-ownedMinecraftis coming to Nintendo’s newest consoleand Spencer recentlymused on the idea of bringingGoldenEyeback, a lot of fans have taken to Twitter to quiz the publisher on future possibilities. So much so that Microsoft has issued a statement, saying that “we have no information of any games coming to the Wii U other thanMinecraft.”
But really Rare — isRare Replaycoming? Maybe Microsoft will rise up to save the Wii U in its twilight era before the launch of the NX? Probably not, but a man can dream.
As forGoldenEye, it likely won’t happen. Time and time again Rare has essentially noted “we gave youPerfect Dark, which is like, our original better version anyway.” And every time, I’ve disagreed. I’d love to see a true return ofGoldenEyeone day with split-screen and online capabilities.
