It’s a little bit late, but here’s a fun thing! Last year, theMega Mansprite warehouse Sprites Inc. celebrated the holidays with ashort but sweet fangamethat was very, very, veryloosely based on the Charles Dickens classicA Christmas Carol. Now, prepare yourself for the continuation inMega Man Christmas Carol II!

This time around, you can play as either Mega Man, Proto Man, or Bass. The Robot Masters on parade are quite creative — one boss requires you to knock his head into a wall of spikes before you can damage his body, for example. Since the previous game was all about fighting robotic incarnations of Scrooge’s spirits, this one pits you against Scrooge himself and manifestations of his greed and ignorance. You even get to kick the crap out of Tiny Tim, which is all kinds of hilariously wrong. Also, sick holiday chiptunes!

The game is, unfortunately, still in beta, so it’s extremely janky. At one point, all weapons completely disappeared from the screen, making it impossible to deal or even receive damage! Still, the gamecanbe completed, though it’s legitimately hard aside from the bugs. There is some cool stuff here, and I’m sure the final release will be even more amazing.
