It was ranked as one of the top ten submitted games ofPAX 10and Nick, Max and Tara had a whale of a time with it wayback in March, with the game being described as “Street FightermeetsWords With Friends.“
Now the two-man team have released a debut trailer where theStreet Fighter/Final Fightinspired theme that existed when the guys played it has now changed to a more high-brow, Sherlock Holmes-esque feel, with brawler characters replaced with “Literary Masters,” and the battles commencing in elaborate study rooms rather than dirty sewers.
Personally I’m digging it and can see the endless word possibilities creating some potentially hilarious hijinks and YouTube videos in the future.Word Fighteris due out for the iPad, iPhone and Android this Fall.
