A lot can happen in 10 minutes

June isn’t done yet, and this afternoon, we’ve got another gaming showcase to watch. It’s about time to check out theFinal Fantasy VII25th Anniversary Celebration, which will be streaming live at3:00 p.m. Pacifictoday. What’s on the docket? Officially, Square Enix has promised “all the latest information relating to the 25th anniversary ofFinal Fantasy VII.”

Depending on who you ask (and which leaks you believe), this stream could touch on many different things — a Steam release ofFinal Fantasy VII Remake, a coveted glimpse ofFFVII Remake Part2, and potentially even someFFVII“expanded universe” news.

You can watch the event live onYouTubeandTwitch.

While theFFVII25th Anniversary Celebration stream is supposed to beon the shorter side, the hype for this event has really snowballed in the past 24 hours, as is the way.

Admittedly, I’m less interested in hearing about stuff likeThe First SoldierandEver Crisis, and withFinal Fantasy VIIRemake Part 2such an unknown quantity at this point, I’m sure many of you feel the same way. If we get anything concrete on theNaoki Hamaguchi-directed game, and maybe a fun wild-card announcement, I’ll be happy. A few details — heck, even a bit of familiar imagery to latch onto — can go a long way while we wait.

(Worth reminding: ifDragon’s Dogmais more your speed, Capcom is also hostinga 10th anniversary streamat the exact same time. I’m feeling reserved yet hopeful.)
