Not a Luddite
Hideo Kojima is a busy man. After touring the world with Mark Cerny earlier this year, he seems very cozy with Sony, and excited to releasehis upcoming projectout into the world.
We uh, don’t know a whole lot about that project other than that it will appeal to “AAA fans” (descriptive!), but we do know what the Kojima Productions mascot looks like! It’s called “Ludens,” which will deliver the “new play” and “new future” to gaming with its cutting-edge equipment, technology, and “frontier spirit.” He’s donning an “extra-vehicular activity (EVA) suit.
Whether this “icon” just describes the goals of Kojima’s crew or is a direct reference to a character that may appear in his upcoming game is yet to be seen, but like just about everyone else on Earth, I’m interested.
