How to plot delivery routes in RoadCraft

You’ll first plan a route duringRoadCraft’sfirst campaign mission, asking you to deliver crane parts from the Forward Base to the Phosphate Plant. In the quest’s objective, you’ll find a button labeled “Infrastructure: Route,” which you can select to unlock your infrastructure menu.

In this menu, you’ll find your active routes and options to plot routes for your current objective. For now, you’ll only have one route to plot, but more will arrive in the future. Select this to start creating a route from the Forward Base to the Phosphate Plant.

Starting from the Forward Base, you’ll place down small waypoints along the road to the Phosphate Plant. Your goal is to design a path that doesn’t collide with obstacles, pass over rough terrain, or have impossible turns for your trucks.

Here are some tips for avoiding or fixing any maintenance problems you may encounter:

Roadcraft route path

You have several options for fixing various route problems. If one of your vehicles is in the way, you can enter it through your map and move it, letting the delivery trucks continue as usual. For other problems, like difficult terrain, scrolling into the map and following tire tracks is usually your safest option. There’s also a rare chance that yougot your vehicle stuckat some point and need to teleport it elsewhere before continuing.

Later in your playthrough, you may experience problems with two or more routes converging onto each other, which can create some traffic. Oftentimes, you can open other entrances like the Phosphate Plant’s southern gate to give alternative paths into a location, making it much easier to plot your route without any unexpected issues.

Roadcraft route failing

Completing a route will reward you with an initial EXP and cash prize, with additional rewards available as trucks passively drive along it. That said, any environmental changes that occur throughout your playthrough can impact the path later on, so watch out for any failure messages that unexpectedly appear.
