There are many ways to increase XP and rank up inThe Precinct, and an easy process is to make your shifts longer and last for a longer time.

Once you’ve cleared a significant amount of gameplay after starting the game, you’ll be able to set your custom shifts. Are custom shifts worth it in The Precinct?

If you’ve just started to play the game, you should stay away from custom shifts. Custom shifts are highly beneficial as they allow you to gain more XP. However, you should avoid them when you’re still completing different milestones.

Once you use a custom shift, it will automatically disable any milestone associated with random shifts. Hence, it’s better to rely on the random shifts till you can complete all the milestones, and then switch over to custom shifts. That way, you can get more XP while completing all the available milestones, and hit two birds with the same stone.
