Early inCat Quest 3, you may have noticed spots in the water that rippled mysteriously. To get that underwater booty, you need to acquire an item from a captured Purrmaid.
Rescuing the Purrmaid (yes, a cat mermaid) is no easy feat. You’ll need to have progressed enough in the game to be able to fight against level 50 enemies. Why? because her jailers are tough, and they won’t give her up without a fight.
Where to find the Purrmaid inCat Quest 3
The Purrmaid is locked behind bars on theSunset Isles far to the north. She’s held captive by the Spicy Squid pirates for reasons unknown.
Defeat the ships guarding her prison and use your ship cannons to knock down the doors. Speak with her, and she’ll reward her rescuer with the item you need to claim underwater booty inCat Quest 3: The Shell Phone.
How to use the Shell Phone
To use the Shell Phone inCat Quest 3, hop into the water and float above a rippling spot indicating underwater booty. Press the button prompt, and bam! The treasure is now yours. But the goods aren’t what you might think. Underwater booty in the game is comprised of Purrmaid gear, which includes:
The first underwater booty you can claim is near the Purrmaid, who points it out. She decides to stay in her cage, but she is convinced that she’ll soon find her one true love. This is actually the start of a new side quest.
How to complete the Purrmaid’s Prince Charming quest
Getting the Shell Phone starts a new quest (of sorts?) inCat Quest 3. The Purrmaid wants to find her dear Prince Charming (whoever that may be) and refuses to leave incarceration until she does. So, how do we help her?
To complete the quest, you must locate and loot all underwater booty inCat Quest 3. Here’s a quick rundown on where to go:
The first spot isnext to the Purrmaid,just off the beach.
There are five to be found around Purvanna and the islands to the south.
you’re able to find one in theTwilight Isles. Watch out for the spike traps. I suggest leaving your ship for this spot.
Finally, you can find one in the bay of theFurggy Isles. Be careful, as this is a level-60 area.
Once you found all the spots, return to the Purrmaid and get ready for a treat. The Prince Charming she’s been looking for all this time is…Squeaky??
