Like HoYoverse’s other hit gacha games,Zenless Zone Zerohas several tasks that players need to get into the habit of doing every time they play. One of these is getting combat buffs before battle. This is revealed fairly early in the game, but with all the shops to visit, it’s easy to forget how and where to grab combat buffs.
The Waterfall Soup noodle shop on Sixth Street
Thecity of New Eridu serves as the hub world ofZenless Zone Zero,and the Waterfall Soup noodle shop is located to the left of the video store where Belle and Wise work. It unlocks early in Chapter One, after you complete the “Logistics Disaster” Combat Commission for General Chop. Talk to the disgruntled chef to turn in the quest, and he’ll open up his shop for you. You’ll also get the “Gimme Another Bowl” achievement and earn 5 Polychrome.
The Waterfall Soup noodle shop’s menu
The Waterfall Soup noodle shop offers a variety of dishes that provide combat buffs that last through three battles. If you want to swap out your current buff, you need to fight at least one battle and then return to the shop to order something else.
The first recipe, Vegetable Noodles, unlocks with the shop. It grants +30 to your ATK and costs 1,800 Dennies,Zenless Zone Zero’smain in-game currency. Another chunk of recipes unlocks at level 20 and costs 2,500 Dennies; a third and final set of dishes unlocks at level 30 and will set you back 5,000 Dennies.
You can check your current active buff in two ways. At the Waterfall Soup noodle shop, talk to General Chop and you’ll spot an icon with a button prompt on the left side of the menu screen. This shows the current active buff and how many more combats it will last. Additionally, beforebattle inZenless Zone Zero, on the screen that displays the characters in your party, you’ll find the same icon and a number in the upper righthand corner.
Now that you know how, don’t forget to eat some noodles frequently. The buffs they give, particularly the Bone Broth Noodles for increased damage against bosses, may mean the difference between victory and defeat.
