Amagasaki Castle is one of the larger castles you will visit during the early game ofAssassin’s Creed Shadows. It has a tremendous number of guards, tons of different sections, and some pretty sweet rewards.

To cash in on those rewards you will need to fully complete Amagasaki Castle.

How to complete Amagasaki Castle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Amagasaki Castle is located in the starting Izumu Settsu region inAssassin’s Creed Shadows. It’s found across the river north of your initial Hideout, directly east of Nisinomiya and southwest of Senri Hills. As soon as you hit land coming from the south, you’ll likely be in Amagasaki.

The castle grounds in Amagasaki are massive. They stretch hundreds of meters in every direction. There are interconnected rivers that make up moats surrounding the different areas of the castle, making it difficult to navigate the grounds. Fortunately, you’re able to enter Amagasaki Castle without alerting a guard by climbing on a tree and hopping over the wall on the eastern and western sides of the castle.

Once inside Amagaski Castle, you’ll have the same mission as any other castle: eliminate all of the Samurai Daisho. The Samurai Daisho, marked with a warrior mask icon, are the enemies you need to kill to fully complete Amagaski Castle and gain access to its reward and XP bonus. Amagasaki Castle has a whopping five Samurai Daisho you need to kill before you can loot the rewards.

The enemies and Samurai Daisho at Amagasaki Castle are all around levels 9-10, so you need to ensure Naoe is around those levels before trying to take on the castle. Otherwise, you’ll struggle immensely with trying to take down the Samurai. It should also be noted that you eventually have to come to Amagasaki Castle and fight with enemies as part of the main story. So you can always wait for that and complete the castle after that mission has occurred.

Inside Amagasaki Castle, the Samurai Daisho are spread out far from one another. My advice is to ascend the main castle at Amagasaki, unlock the fast travel point, and then go around the outskirts of the castle grounds using Eagle Vision. This allows you to mark red-outlined enemies and see where the Samurai Daisho are patrolling.

Unfortunately, the Samurai tend to move around quite a bit, so it can be difficult to pinpoint exactly where they are. In my experience, the Samurai Daisho were all located in different directions around the castle. you’re able to see where they were in my playthrough below:

When you’re looking for the Samurai Daisho, use your Eagle Vision and the “Observe” function to mark them, which is easily done once you find their distinct warrior mask icon. Just make your way around the castle grounds, continually marking enemies, and you’ll eventually find all five of them.

As for killing the Samurai Daisho, you might not be able kill them with a single assassination attempt. In that case, you still want to try to assassinate them to bring down their HP and then engage in combat to finish the job. Try not to attack Samurai Daisho around other guards, as that’ll make your job harder.

Once all five Samurai Daisho are dead at Amagasaki Castle, it’s time to loot some rewards.

After taking out all five Samurai Daisho, make your way to the main castle at Amagasaki, the one with the fast travel point. Ascend to the top of the castle, but don’t go to the fast travel point. Instead, find a floorboard on the roof, hop down inside, and loot the special chest in the room to unlock your rewards.

Inside the chest, you’ll loot the following:

Once those rewards have been looted, it might be a good idea to descend the castle from the inside. There are plenty of chests, Hideout materials, and other loot waiting for you in the castle’s various rooms. You’ll also find some resources to smuggle on the bottom floor of the castle.

However, after the special rewards are yours, Amagasaki Castle is complete inAssassin’s Creed Shadows.
