“Beyond the Glass” off of Harmony of a Hunter: 101% Run
By now, you’ve likely had time to absorb the glory that isHarmony of a Hunter: 101% Run, theMetroidseries tribute arrange album from Shinesparkers. Among the tracks isSam Dillard‘s “Beyond the Glass,” a cover ofSuper Metroid‘s Maridia theme. A few days ago, Sam released a music video for his tune, which you can watch above.
Two words: F*CKING AMAZING! Not only is the music itself incredible, the video production is just as fantastic. Using the Samus model fromMetroid Prime, he whipped up a short animation that runs for the first minute and a half of the song. For the rest of the vid, clips ofSuper Metroidgameplay run on virtual monitor submerged far below the watery depths of a CG Zebes.
