There’s nothing ‘Quiet’ about this MGS V cosplay
Back in September, Hideo Kojima tweeted that he was makingMetal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain‘s Quiet“more erotic”to entice cosplay. He shared designs of the character’sbacksideand almost seemed to taunt would-be cosplayers with claims that it may betoo hard to pull off.
Well meetcosplayerand UK Dtoider, Kelly Jean’s take on the silent, but deadly sniper. As a big fan of theMetal Gearseries — just check out her fantasticEVAcosplay — Jean wanted to take on the challenge of recreating the accuracy of an actual video game render.

“I only know limited amounts about Quiet, as we all do, but since I am a fan of the franchise it’s going to take quite a lot to disappoint me.Though I do hope she gets some trousers, she makes me feel pretty cold,” Jean said.
Shot in a studio, to get the lighting right, and with some minimal editing Jean’s creation of Quiet iseerily spot on, all the way down to the exact hand placements from theMGS Vstill. The costume came from mostly modified combat gear and has even caught the attention ofKojima himself.

With Christmas right around the corner, Jean will also be selling prints of her ‘Quiet’ cosplay to raise money forSpecial Effect. All profits will go to the charity, which specializes in bringing the joy of gaming to those with disabilities.
“I am currently in training to be a health care assistant and care worker. The girl I’m soon to be helping out is really bright and enjoys her games, but has severe physical disabilities, so I’m really passionate about this cause,” Jean said.
