As you probably know, Saban Entertainment is highly protective of itsPower Rangersproperty. It leads toa number of snafuswhere companies have to go back and alter their projects lest they risk litigation, even if they’re seemingly protected by parody law.
Square Enix didn’t want to test the waters back in February when they announced their “Magitek Exosuit” costume homage forFinal Fantasy XV. They delayed their take on the Super Sentai world indefinitely until they could alter the designs to make them less..infringey.
That day has come, as the publisher has announced that both consoles will be getting a free update sometime this month that includes the suits. Given that basically everything has come westward forXV, it probably won’t be a Japan-only thing either.
