FFXIVsaves your place in the queue, if you’re fast enough
If you encounter Error 2002, there is some good news. The lobby server is supposed to save your place in line for roughly sixty seconds, giving you a short window to log back in and rejoin the queue right where you left it. However, this doesn’t seem to always work, leaving you at the back of the queue waiting to log in all over again.
Try another, less-populated World to skip the queue
If you’re hoping to avoid Error 2002 during the launch ofDawntrail, you couldtry to log in on a less-populated World server. While no Worlds are likely to be what you could consider “quiet” during the first couple of weeks ofDawntrail, some will be more tame than others, such as the new and probationary worlds on NA and EU data centers.
