There’s something strange going on in theDestiny 2neighborhood. Bungie announced on Twitter that an in-gameGhostbusterscollab heads toDestiny 2next week. It certainly isn’t the first timeGuardianshave seen worlds collide in-game, and it seems that the practice is steadily picking up pace.
Destiny 2has seen plenty of crossover content in the last couple of years. Collaborations kicked off in earnest during 2022, with crossover cosmetic gear fromFortniteandAssassin’s Creed. The following year, partnerships intensified, with a PlayStation crossover bringing inGhost of Tsushima, God of War, Horizon, andThe Last of Uscosmetics. Before the end of 2023, players would also see acrossover withThe Witcher. Only a few months into 2024, we already sawMass Effectcosmetics inDestiny 2, with this latestGhostbusterscollab following soon after.

What’s part of the Destiny 2 Ghostbusters collaboration?
The crossover betweenDestiny 2andGhostbustersappears less in-depth than theMass EffectandWitchercollabs before it. Bungie didn’t show off any Class-specific armor sets designed aroundGhostbusters, just equipment. That said, Bungie did show off the cosmetics up for grabs, and at least a couple are sure to entice fans.

The crossover ship and Ghost shell seem like they’ll be instant favorites forGhostbustersfans. The Ghost Shell is Slimer-themed, essentially transforming a player’s ghost into the little green ghoul. On the other hand, the ship is styled after the iconic Ecto-1, complete with sirens and all. There’s also a new Sparrow, but this seems like it’ll be less coveted, given the recentintroduction of Skimmer hoverboardsand because it resembles the new villain from the upcomingGhostbusters: Frozen Empirefilm.
Following the track record of these kinds of collaborations, theGhostbusterscontent will likely be available exclusively through the Eververse Store. Guardians can get to busting on March 19, when the crossover and weekly reset go live.
