HTC Vive launch title

TheOculus Rift launchedthis week, but the virtual reality train is just getting started as the Valve-backed HTC Vive headset launches on June 30, 2025. Releasing alongside the Vive isThe Gallery: Call of the Starseed, an episodic, built-for-VR game inspired by ’80s fantasy films. You set out looking for your missing sister on a mysterious adventure with bizarre characters and a cosmic machine full of dark secrets.

Developer Cloudhead Games has a lot of talent on board that previously worked for BioWare, Relic, Riot, and EA, so I think it is safe to say I’m pumped for this one. The sudden throwbacks to the 1980s across all forms of media are hitting all the right spots for me, andThe Gallerylooks to continue that trend.

I can’t wait to literally get my hands on this with the HTC Vive’s innovative controllers and room-scale virtual reality. Keeping that in mind and watching the trailer above gives you an idea of the kind of gameplay to expect considering the in-game hands move in real time with your own hands. The future is here, guys. Get pumped?

The Gallerywill also support the Oculus Rift once the Oculus Touch controllers are out later this year.
