Here we have Cliff Bleszinski, super-producer at Epic Games, guiding us through a demo ofBulletstorm. Watch as fools get killed in creative ways, including the use of the Leash which looks to be a lot of fun as enemies get juggled about with the energy whip.
There are two things that really stand out from Cliff’s explanation. First, he’s really proud of how visually attractive the game is, pointing out lighting effects and so forth as he goes. Next, he clearly has it in for overweight people, managing to make two fat jokes in the six minute video.
Can we come up with some other group in society that it’s acceptable to shun? Don’t get me wrong, I like pointing out the deficiencies of others as much as the next guy, but maybe we could go back to being mean to classes of people for whom there’s no chance that they’ll ever meet our cultural standards. Something based on skin color, perhaps. You know, just to mix it up a bit.
