No matter how many years have passed, Doctor Edward Richtofen remains a fan favorite among theZombiescommunity. Sure, he’s insane, but that’s just one of the many reasons why we love him. Though we haven’t seen much of him for quite a while, Richtofen has finally made his mark again in theCall of Duty: Black Ops 6Zombies Terminus Cinematic trailer.
The trailer begins with theBlack Ops 6crew, including Grigori Weaver and Dr. Elizabeth Grey, who have been imprisoned after theBlack Ops Cold Warevents. Weaver stares ominously at a writing on the wall, showcasing the name “Richtofen.” Dr. William Peck arrives shortly after to bust them out, explaining how Edward is the mastermind behind their capture. Here, we learn that Richtofen will be the primary target of theBO6 Zombiesstoryline as the crew seeks revenge.
Although Richtofen didn’t make his official appearance, the trailer strongly suggests that he will return soon. Even more so, theBlack Ops 6ensemble has already mentioned getting their hands on his current coordinates. However, the road to him will be no easy feat, considering all the zombie hordes standing in their way.
At best, I would say Richtofen will be the final boss in theBlack Ops 6 Zombiesstoryline. It may take a while to see him, but at least we know he’s finally coming back for the Dark Aether saga.
TheBlizzard Entertainmentpage has also indicated that the new narrative will dive into “Richtofen’s motivations and goals.” It’ll be interesting to see what his mission is this time around, especially since he’s always had some big agenda throughout theBlack Opsseries.
Whatever Richtofen’s plan is inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6, I’m sure he’ll always keep us entertained, as he has in past entries. I’m also hoping the notable voice actor Nolan North returns for the role so that I can hear him say a few classic Edward Richtofen lines.
