The upgraded Switch version is out June 15, 2025
With one week left to go, Capcom has scored another win forDevil May Cry 3 Special Editionon Nintendo Switch. The infamous Bloody Palace mode now supports local co-op, so you and a pal can team up as Dante and Vergil, and you’ll each be able to set your own controller customization options.
You’ll want to use Pro Controllers if you’ve got ’em, but a single or double Joy-Con setup works too. As for unlock requirements, you’ll just need to finish the intro before you’re able to tag-team the Bloody Palace.

When Capcom first started teasing bonus features for the Switch version, fans wasted no time speculating. Capcom producer Matt Walker enjoyed seeing everyone’s guesses, but one idea, in particular, stood out: “What if Capcom had put the Master Sword inDevil May Cry 3 SE? I saw that and thought, ‘I really wish we did that now!’ Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen this time.”
Between the co-op inclusion,Style Switching, andbetter weapon swapping, it’s going to be hard to turn down the Switch port no matter how many times you’ve burned throughDevil May Cry 3before.
