The Fire-half ofZenless Zone Zero‘s top supporting duo, and by a mile one of its most dynamic agents, Lucy shines given her ability to provide a massive amount of ATK to the whole party through her Cheer On! buff.

True to that, it’s no surprise many make building her a priority. For all looking to awaken her full potential off the bat, here’s the best Lucy build inZenless Zone Zeroand which teams will gain the most from her presence.

The best W-Engines for Lucy in Zenless Zone Zero

The best W-Engine for Lucy inZenless Zone Zerois to no one’s surprise her signatureKaboom the Cannon, which will offer both a 624 boost in ATK and 50% Energy Regen at level 60. The ER boost is huge here, as until you unlock her second Mindscape Cinema, Lucy will only be able to trigger Cheer On! with her EX Special Skill.

When at one star, the engine will also increase the ATK of the whole party by 2.5% after any friendly unit (which includes both your agents and Lucy’s guard boars) scores a hit. The effect will last for eight seconds and can stack four times for a 10% boost. The duration of the stacks will be counted separately and each attacker can only trigger one.

Best W-Engine alternatives

As Cheer On! scales solely on her overall ATK,Weeping Cradlewill be my second pick for Lucy. Although its PEN increase will not be game-changing here, the S-Ranker will offer the highest base ATK value among the support-type engines with 684 at level 60. Weeping Cradle will also provide Lucy with a 0.6/s increase in Energy Regen.

On the other hand, as the guard boars are considered separate entities from Lucy while in the field, they won’t be able to trigger the W-Engine’s debuff. The lack of an ER substat also means most players will need to make use of an ER Drive Disc when using Weeping Cradle.

The BP-exclusiveUnfettered Game Ballis also a solid pick here given its ER substat and great CRIT Rate-related passive. Keep in mind that the latter will demand you to be a little more clinical in combat and will limit mono-attribute parties.

The best F2P W-Engine for Lucy

If you are a F2P player or have yet to get any of our top picks, the best W-Engine for Lucy will be the B-Ranker[Reverb] Mark II. Although the item will provide a low amount of attack with 475 at level 60, its 40% ER increase will allow you to fully focus on ATK when picking your Drive Discs.

Best Drive Discs for Lucy in ZZZ

So that you can have her EX Special Skill always at the ready and add another buff to her arsenal, the best Drive Disc composition for Lucy is a4-piece Swing Jazz paired with a 2-piece Woodpecker Electro. While the 4-piece set will provide a 20% ER increase and allow Lucy to boost the overall DMG of the whole party by 15% after performing either her Ultimate or Chain Attack, Woodpecker Electro will offer a welcome 8% Crit Rate boost.

If you want to maximize her buff and don’t mind the loss in Crit for what I consider to be a low reward, pairing Swing Jazz with a 2-piece Hormone Punk can also work. When equipped, the latter will offer a 10% attack increase.

The best Drive Disks for Lucy in Zenless Zone Zero.

As our Lucy build is focused on empowering both the availability of her EX Special Skill and the damage of both the skill and her wild boars, I recommend going with Crit Rate for the fourth disc and with an ATK pair for the fifth and sixth —If you are using Weeping Candle like me and haven’t unlocked her second Mindscape Cinema slot, go with ER for the final disc.

Substat-wise, focus on Crit Rate until you reach 50% and then shift to CRIT DMG. As using all of the above while having Cheer On! at +12 and Lucy at level 60 will get you a boost of around 500/550 ATK, I recommend also focusing on getting ATK substats. But don’t go overboard, as even another 30% boost won’t change the result significantly.

The best teams for Lucy in Zenless Zone Zero

Thanks to her universal buff, Lucy can be considered a great support for all of the game’s DPSs, even if their attributes and factions don’t match. She shines the most when paired withKoledaandSoldier 11in a triple-fire team. When in the field, the team will excel in all areas by having in Koleda a massive source of Daze and an up-to-70% Chain Attack DMG increase, and in Soldier 11 the right DPS to make full use of Lucy’s passive.

If you don’t have Soldier 11, I recommend usingCorin, Billy, or Nekomata in her place for an alternative composition. Using a team featuring Piper, Koleda, and Lucy can also work great, as although the former is a sub-DPS by nature, her high damage output and self-buff will make up for it. Using Piper is a must if you don’t have a Fire attribute Stun or DPS agent, as no other offensive unit in the game will be able to enable Lucy’s Additional Ability.

Best Bangboos for Lucy

As a support, Lucy won’t be the main factor behind your Bangboo choice, as they must match your main DPS above all else. On that note, I recommend going withBangvolverwhen using a Physical team, and eitherRocketbooorCryboowhen using Soldier 11. The reason for that lies in the Bangboo’s ability to apply massive amounts of Attribute Anomaly, which will allow you to enable the 4-piece effects of the game’s best Physical and Fire DMG-related Drive Disc sets with ease.
