There are so many games I’ve thought about crowdfunding — and a bunch I’ll surely end up buying, once they’re complete — but only two that have managed to get me to put money down in advance:Double Fine AdventureandAwesomenauts: Starstorm.

Double Fine Adventure(now known asBroken Age) was an unusual one for me, because I didn’t back the project for the game itself. Rather, I just wanted to see 2 Player Productions’ documentary series following development at Double Fine and from that perspective, I’m satisfied. Never did finishAct 1ofBroken Age, but I’m not much of a point-and-click fan, admittedly.

As forStarstorm, it was an opportunity to keep Ronimo making more content forAwesomenauts, a game I’ve poured hundreds of hours into and greatly enjoy. I couldn’t say no. Even if I’m currently on hiatus — high-level play is stressful! — I feel as if I got my money’s worth.

My stories aren’t particularly interesting, but I wanted to get the ball rolling. I’m sure some of you have got tales to tell and I’d like to hear them — the good, the bad, and everything in between.
