TheCall of Duty: Black Ops 7marketing hype appears set to begin after a new video uploaded to a 13-year-old YouTube channel has players in a tizzy.
LegendaryCoDvillain Raul Menendez appears again in a new video uploaded today after re-appearing in theBO7reveal trailer earlier this month, but this one is on the @cordisdie YouTube channel which was used forBlack Ops 2marketing all the way back in 2012.

In the new video, titled “The Lesson,” Menendez can be seen standing in front of a bunch of screens showing off data and what looks to be mayhem taking place around the world, including a big plume of smoke around the Eiffel Tower.
“2025 was just the beginning,” Menendez says. “A necessary first step. Once again, you shall know fear.”

“Cordis Die” translates to “Day of the Heart,” and was the name of the revolutionary movement triggered by Menendez inBO2.In that game’s ending, Menendez set up a video named Cordis Die to be uploaded upon his death, on July 18, 2025, which is today. Whoa.
The scene andBO2’sending can be found below, leading intoBO7’splot in some way. David Mason returns as the main character inBO7, and there appears to be some sort of mind manipulation happenings going on, judging by the trailer and the fact that Menendez is somehow “alive” in the events of the game.

Best bets right now have Menendez appearing as some kind of AI or mind trick to trigger Mason, but this first video could be one of many coming to drum up hype forBO7and its storyline. Or, it could just be here to mark the day that’s been ingrained in manyCoDplayers’ heads for years.
BO7’srelease date is still unknown, but it’s likely to drop on a Friday near the end of October or beginning of November later this year. This summer, more information about the game will be revealed such as multiplayer, Zombies, and new content coming to Warzone.
